Meant to Post this!

I must have been tired last night and forgot to press Publish!
I started the day by thinking I had to be up early for a workout but I instead stumbled on a new Pilates class they added at my local Lil 24 HR fitness!!! It was wonderful!! The teacher went slow which is awesome:) Just what I needed!

It is Giving Tuesday so I wore my Reliv shirt, to share about my favorite charity, their Kalogris Foundation that feeds nutrition to the poor around the world.

Breakfast was on the go an Egg Cup.
Lunch was salmon and veggies. I was tired of salad! Lol!
I smacked on Pistachios and black Sunflower seeds.
Dinner was turkey burgers and roasted curry cauliflower and salad.
Tomorrow will be my last day of this challenge!

Tonight I am mourning the loss of the Brazilian football team:(. Praying for that community:(

What’s up guys? I got inspired in gym class today. Everyone is talking about their Fix, their wrap, their shakes, and their protein and I haven’t talked to you enough about my favorite life -goal-game Changer!: Reliv Intl SLIMPLICITY!

In 2007 I was depressed and stressed and overweight. I was sick and tired, eating comfort food on the couch.

Enter Reliv’s weight loss kit, a meal replacement program that helped curb my appetite.  I got off the couch and into the gym. I Had a Personal Trainer friend from the YMCA Annie who taught me strength training for women is a great thing to do! I cycled and hiked and ran with my shepherd collie. I got my confidence back!

Now every day I maintain with Reliv’s basic nutrition but who wants to join me on the weight loss band wagon?

Or if you don’t need to lose weight if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired- contact me to find out more about this supplement. Enjoy your weekend!!

Women Entrepreneurs

Because of my Sweat Pink sisters I get to tell you all about these motivating friends:

These friends of mine inspire me every day!  I can’t choose favorites so I will go alphabetically.

Ana came to NYC then LA to study Fashion and Design.  We met swing dancing.  I knew she worked at a retail store nearby, but never realized how creative and talented she truly is until I saw her blog: She repurposes neckties, cleans then sews them and decorates them.  I think they’re adorable, fashionable and makes me feel pretty!  She has an enthusiasm for life and people.  She recently got engaged.  I have enjoyed seeing her creative talent go into costumes for a local community theatre too!

I was rushing in the dark, I was literally spilling cof- no, the sandwich from my hand, because I was late to Bible study one evening, when I tripped on an uneven sidewalk and skinned my knee.  I hobbled in and the first person that saw me offered me a chair but I sat on the floor to discover that I was bleeding.  It was sweet and friendly Elida.  She quickly went to grab me a first aid kit and helped bandage me up!  She is so funny, beautiful and delightful!  She is a OneHope wine distributor who also designs gorgeous jewelry.  Both support wonderful causes, and she has meaningful symbols behind each piece that she handcrafts.  Check her out!

My older sister is a mother of four, a Reliv distributor, and now blogs about food allergies and nutrition at

She recently got a Fitbit and is usually chasing kids upstairs, biking or hiking, zumba or swimming.  She loves yoga and barre videos (cardio barre, pure barre, barre method etc).  Ask her how you can start a home business and find new epigenetic information on healthy nutrition!  She inspires me every day!!  I remember when she was laying in bed, too tired to walk to our mailbox, “will she ever be healed from CFS?”  Then one day, after a couple months of taking Reliv, I heard the energy in her voice and saw that she hiked 42 miles with her husband!  I couldn’t believe the difference.  Reliv has saved our niece’s life!  At first, before Reliv, my niece was underweight due to food allergies.  Reliv helped her gain healthy weight (and helped me lose 40 unnecessary, depressing pounds!)!

We first met when she was a nurse at Vanderbilt and I was at Trevecca.  We had a great connection over our love for Africa, serving and helping people and helping animals.  Lo and behold, fast forward several years later, they moved to the same hometown and she contacted me!  She was a nurse at UCLA and got injured, only to suffer the last couple years with chronic back pain, surgeries, and trying so many different things (yoga, pilates, chiropractors, herbs)!  She rescues animals with Best Friends LA.  This summer I started to notice she was finally feeling relief, and traveled more, and she told me all about DoTerra Essential Oils.  Go to to learn all about an OILY business and complimentary healthcare!

My new friend Jade I actually got to meet because Emily (see above) was doing a booth at a Christmas boutique.  Jade had her 31 bags there and I was enamored.  I had heard OF “Thirty-One Gifts” but never knew anything about it.  I have always struggled with finding the right size handbag, purse and wallet.  I’ve tried oversized, designer, thrift shop, and I can never settle on the right size because I love pockets and being prepared.  I want to have everything on hand just in case (two of everything – one in my car, one in my purse, one in my gym bag, one at home, one in my desk drawer at work)!  Remember the name of my blog?!

So, this year I made the goal of getting more organized. I love to organize, and I wish I was more minimalistic, but I also am REAL and want to be authentic!  I am married to a wonderful man who loves sentimental gifts from his grandparents or his 25+countries he’s traveled to (worked in, relaxed in, cycled through, or taught in!).  I love vintage things, but I don’t want to have a gazillion things to dust either!  So when I met Jade (only last month), I thought this might just be the solution to my problem and I may even (gulp) have to change my domain name!:) I entered to win her little drawing she had, which meant she took me to lunch and I won a thermal lunch tote! AHH!!!  I was so excited to lunch with her because we totally connected on so many levels.  She has two cute kids too!  The other night I hosted a girls’ night (another one of my New Year goals: to have more girl nights and RnR!) where she brought all these awesome products and we played really fun games.  She told us her WHY of doing this business and all about the cool bags (I can’t wait til my order comes!)  Check out her foodie blog: and her site, (Tonight ONLY: go to my scheduled parties and click on my name Christiana!)

All my fave MLM products in one!!!

So you all know I supplement with all natural, non gmo, gf, vitamins, minerals, and the superfood that is reliv with Lunasin…? Ok good. It is safe for animals, babies, pregnant women and the elderly. It has changed my life and it once helped me lose 40lbs. Got it? I take it twice a day & I’ll never stop taking it! How do you get it? My sister (over at does the business from her home and I can help get you involved or help you get a discount. I also support the Reliv Kalogris Foundation, which helps nourish The World!!!

Then there’s DoTerra. This year I just found out about essential oils and how aromatherapy, topical and internal use can all help! My friend Emily does the business and it has helped her back pain! Now, my favorite product Digestzen has helped my bloating and digestive issues and PastTense helped my headaches.  Check her Facebook Page also

You might be able to see the floral lunch tote from my friend Jade from Thirty-One! (Her blog is at I am hosting my first party soon! I love how bags help organize my busy, on the go lifestyle.

You can also spot my cute Jamberry nails from my friend Bethany who introduced me to Kathleen who does the business while she is in school. Check out:

Lastly, you can see my cherry red lips from Mary Kay. Over the years, I have met several friends in numerous companies but I like to say Mary Kay is the grandma to all of us. I have several friends and contacts in Avon(I use their eye shadow all the time), Younique 3D eye products (saved my poor blond lashes! Check out my friend, Arbonne and Mary Kay, as well as other skin care and makeup companies! I just used my pampered chef items for dinner! I truly believe in these products and companies, because I see how it helps people supplement their income, or changed a life through nutrition, or complements their healthcare. I have tried several, and these listed are my tried and true favorites! I give them all 5 stars and happily review them here so you all know to reach out and support some good people!

I still love my job but this way I feel like I’m supporting the friends around me who get to work for themselves or who have created some fantastic products! Please let me know if you need help finding something and I’ll hook you up.

I joined Team EAS

I saw an ad in fitness magazine and again saw one at 24 hour fitness, for joining Team EAS. I am still loyal to my Reliv supplement but this was a great little package! I got a shaker bottle, a bag, coupons, and several sample packets of their vanilla. It tastes great in a smoothie! I don’t mind it by itself in water but I decided I prefer it with fruits and vegetables in my elite cuisine, blended up.
There’s still time to join! Go to eas

Ok I can’t keep my excitement hidden any longer…fitness blog event!

But I’ve been invited to attend this Fitness bloggers’ event !
fitness magazine blog event
So if you live in the area and blog about fitness, I want to see you there!:) I love Fitness magazine and reading other fitness blogs so I hope I can meet and network. People used to tell me they could see me as a fitness instructor, I just never focused in on educating myself in that area.
I had a rough end to the busy work week, so I was nervous sharing this news since I do have to request the day off from work, but my boss is okay with us taking a personal day when we need one, so that we are re-energized for the rest of the week.
I am an independent distributor for Reliv international ( and I am a secretary for a physical therapy facility, and my new passion lately has been health, nutrition and fitness. I have enjoyed running off and on since middle school, but I always struggled with my weight. In college I fell into depression and comfort ate myself into trouble. With Reliv’s slimplicity, I lost 40 lbs., was off the couch and into the gym which is my second home. I don’t mean I stay all day there, but it have reached a comfort level with fitting it into my schedule and I love the new friends and instructors who help me.
My mama was always into nutrition and I just thought it was a bunch of herbs and “eat your greens,” boring and tasteless. But learning from her, getting help and results with Reliv, and reading blogs and pinning recipes and ideas from Pinterest, are all helping me toward my goals.
My coworkers are very motivating! A lot of them work out on lunch breaks, they help with stretches and tips, and we tend to all eat healthy or want to meet specific goals. My supervisor got us into the Fitbit pedometer, which is now my third arm.
Because I was a nanny and am now in healthcare, I see the good of exercise and nutrition, and it breaks my heart when I see someone suffering from poor nutrition, poor health, and lack of exercise. Even someone in a wheelchair can exercise! When I hurt my back I found fun videos of arm, back, ab exercises for immobile types.
I am so thankful for my health and for group exercise classes that have helped me. Today I am tired and headachy but maybe a walk or tea will help. I know water and prayer will:)
Enjoy your week, stay motivated! Get out there and be safe, healthy, strong and fit.

It’s that Monday blues kinda day

Hi bloggers it’s been awhile and I miss this. All weekend I’ve had this slight cold. The kind that I think I can do anything but need to rest. The kind where I wake up and think I’m better then I move around and start coughing all over, or sneezing and feeling oogy (as Annie Wilkes would say in Misery )…. I’m flooding my body with garlic, vinegar, oj, tea, veggies, fruit, Reliv, vitamins, supplements, and all good things. I am relaxing, reading, watching, and sleeping. Today I want to enter into directed rest, as Dr Caroline Leaf writes about. I miss the busyness of work and my friends there, but they don’t want me spreading germs. I wanted to find a sub for Sunday school but I had to teach anyway. Our friends came and took us to Slaters where I had a delicious burger. Saturday I thought I was feeling better, worked out, started yoga, and went to a friends grad party (with vegan tacos and sangria!) but I only have gotten worse. I’m loving Runners World and Competitor magazine articles that make me laugh:) I did run a lot more than usual this past week!
Husband made me a delicious healthy breakfast today and a hot shower and Epsom salt bath helped.
For our second anniversary we had a lovely stay at Peppermill Reno, visited Virginia City, Genoa & a bit of Lake Tahoe. I am so happy here, thankful, in love, grateful for all that I have, but I want to learn more, see more, do more!:) I’m curious where God is directing my husband(looking for work)and thankful we aren’t depressed or anxious.
Just thought I’d update you:) see you on the other side;)

Take that, Monday blues!

I went to bed feeling a bit achy, so I thought I just needed rest. But the worst feeling in the world to me is waking up with a headache. Ick! So I figured I couldn’t do much in the gym or a workout at home, but took a walk with my husband and this really lifted my spirits! I came home and started the crockpot, made a delicious healthy reliv smoothie, coffee, and I’m watching a bit of LIVE with Kelly (the post oscars), after sending my husband off with a healthy lunch. I get so giddy when I realize I can do this! Phil.4:13- with His help, I can! Last week was rough (I cried going out the door or going to bed), & I thought, “is this depression sinking in?”
Am I forgetting the glory of the gospel?
The joy and love displayed on the horrific cross?
I was! I was acting like an orphan, like a slave still in bondage, wanting to go back to my Egypt.
I have noticed, in this budgeting class we are in, we will be eating less, eating healthier, so we MIT lose weight!:) I’m only one pound away from my goal, so maybe ill push it 5lbs more, or maybe ill be happier with just maintaining and staying where I am.:-)
Our church has been studying Galatians and this is chock full of spiritual vitamins- reminders of our adoption as sons & daughters into the loving family of God! I can’t let a headache get me down.
Good morning! Go out and keep the good fight of faith!

gettin’ in on the action

Here are some of my favorite (smartphone; I have an iphone4) apps, what are some of yours?

This is my new little favorite discovery! It actually pays you (a little! And every little bit counts!) to go to the gym! If you don’t go, it will deduct an amount ($5, or more whatever you want) safely & securely from your paypal account.  I usually go 6 days a wk, but I set up a pact for 5 just to make sure I will go! On my off days I run or do yoga.

However, I rolled my ankle a few days ago – devastation!! I was so bummed I’d have to sit out until it got bettah, but I’ve tried to do a little sumpin’ at home or when I can (gympact syncs with so you can track your runs or your bike rides or your walks or even your workouts at home (if you’re active for 30min.!) But they say in their helpful faq’s that you can get a dr’s note if you are sick or injured and then they won’t charge you.

I’ve tried a couple other little apps that pay you, but it turns out they all seem to be surveys, with special offers.  Sometimes I can handle a short survey by iPoll or or check in when I watch a show like viggle, but some of them have those long winded surveys that I don’t qualify for, or special offers that just keep signing me up for more emails which I don’t want!

As you all know, I am a big Facebook fan. I’m takin’ a wee brrrreak during the week of Lent but feasting on Sunday to just check for “important messages” here or there.  Most of my real friends know that they can txt, email, or call me if they really needed me.  And since I have instagram, why do I need FB?! lol jk. I like seeing wedding photos, kids’ pics, and connecting, but I don’t want FB to become a replacement for friendship! I am only FBfriends with people I KNOW, not strangers who somehow find me (if we have NO mutual friends I won’t add you)…And if I tag you in a photo, know that only my friends can see it, not the whole world.

#super #fun to @tag your friends and upload funky, cool, fun #photos from your cameraphone.  I’ve heard BLUESTACKS can help you do it on your desktop! I’m doing #projectlife365 (every day for a year) and @catholic_sistas and @rethinkchurch #ipc =instagram photo challenges= the latter two during LENT.

Sigh. Well, I’m addicted.  I mean, it’s really ok because I only check it once in a while when I have time or am looking up a recipe or a workout.  I love the idea though!  Vision boards, dream boards, have been a great motivational tool for successful people (People in business, people who are losing weight, people who want to save for a vacation)!  Have you seen this: Image 🙂

It made me smile and laugh so hard, and my friend posted it on FB which started a roaring discussion!:) Oh Christiana, #haterofvideogames !

isleep (From ihome+sleep)

Now that I have my fitbit, I don’t use this app as often, but I do love the way it lulls you to sleep and then wakes you up with your music.  It calculates how long you’ve slept and you can check the weather and change the background (so the glow of the light doesn’t bother you).

STOP READING IF YOU’RE A MAN: Ok girls, I like iperiod!  I know it sounds silly but it helps me! (Look it up I won’t go into too much graphic detail;-)) go to And also, ladies, please go read (buy a copy) of Dr. Toni Weschler’s fantastic book, “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” (Especially if you DO or you DON’T want kids!!)!! She has a great site as well.

I like checking in!! It gives me the satisfaction I guess. I like writing reviews, and reading up on a place before I go try or eat from it!

My husband’s job, so I have to like it.  They also recommend gas guru and other helpful resources.

My WIthings scale syncs with this and it syncs with my fitbit and with runkeeper.  Now, I wish it counted the workouts that I enter, and my calories in & out (it does but I already put that in on fitbit, I don’t want all these apps running my life!)  Once my sister said, “OK now that you’re here, you’re with REAL PEOPLE, so get off your phone!” She’s right. That has stuck with me.  I don’t want to be rude and always on my phone when people are talking to me.  Especially at work, or always singing loudly with my earphones on and you’re trying to ask me something! Awful.

This cool little thing really actually helps me.  The problem is, since I’m a listkeeper, it only keeps track of 3 items.  I have more than 3 bad habits, or more than 3 good habits, but for right now I’m only tracking the 3 bad things I want to stay away from.  And I can write little journal notes and it will graph my progress! One is drinking soda, one is chewing the inside of my cheek (a gross, ugly nervous habit), and one is picking or tearing at my nails/cuticles.  It has actually WORKED! I still catch myself chewing my cheek so I have had to enter that more often.  But my nails are FINALLY growing out! (Nothing worked before, and I tried everything! I’m not a biter, so those products and nasty tasting stuff won’t work)  I have tried artificial nails (they don’t even last 12 hours), acrylics (which file down and stunt the growth:() and gel (one shellack only lasted 3 days!:()  and just recently I tried the wonderful Dashing Diva’s patent-pending Virtual nails, and they only lasted 4 days:(  I just don’t have the right nail bed, or I have too many ridges, or I’m too dry or wash my hands too much (I work in a hospital) and forget lotion, or once they start growing I’ve ripped ’em off! I’ve heard prenatal vitamins work, so I think Reliv (my supplement that I love) helps, but I’ve been stunting their growth.  Every night I answer the app’s notifications and have to be honest (or I write in how I was feeling or what I was thinking when I caught myself doing it).

My husband also uses one (I think it’s called password manager?), but this one really helps  me; I get so frustrated with every website or app that requires a log in every time.

In taking Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace Uni class, we discovered just recently (for tracking things like spending/saving/expenses & budgeting)! Really helpful! It alerts you a lot too:)
